2024 National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade in Washington, DC Interview with Singer Song Writer Jacquie Roar.


The National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade® presented by Events DC welcomed Princess Tiana as parade Grand Marshal. Princess Tiana, the title character from Disney’s The Princess and the Frog, will lead the nation’s springtime procession alongside special guests Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.

 The National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade is one of the Festival’s signature events and takes place along Constitution Avenue NW between 7th and 17th Streets in Washington, D.C. This event also features hip-hop group, Sugar Hill Gang, plus American Idol finalist, Colin Stough, and The Voice singer Jacquie Roar.

 The Parade feature elaborate floats and balloons, award-winning performers, marching bands from across the nation, performances from local artists, youth groups, choirs, costume characters, and much more.

2024 BLOSSOM KITE FESTIVAL IN WASHINGTON, DC


The Washington Monument Grounds was filled with activities, music, competitions, and performances. Kite enthusiasts, beginners, families, and friends gathered to celebrate the Blossom Kite Festival. 


The event featured  traditional Japanese drumming, Mr. Mikio Toki, a master of traditional Edo-style kites, who traveled all the way from Japan to showcase his kites for attendees.  Attendees also experienced Choreographed performances and demonstrations by Team Kite Life, Wings Over Washington Kite Club, and other nationally and internationally recognized professional kite fliers. Performances by Not a Saint Band,  Ian Carroll, and Guava Jelly. During the presentation the National Anthem was sung by Flo Anito.

The National Cherry Blossom Festival Press Kick off Event


The National Cherry Blossom Festival is one of the world’s great celebrations of spring. The 2024 Festival takes place March 20 - April 14, and includes four weeks of events featuring diverse and creative programming promoting traditional and contemporary arts and culture, natural beauty, and community spirit. The Japan-American Society of Washington, DC hosted the US-Japan Capital Gala at Hillwood Estate, Museum & Gardens.  The evening featured appearances by Ambassador Tomita Koji, Congresswoman Diana DeGette (2021 Marshall Green Awardee), US Senator Bill Hagerty and other distinguished guests. 

Guests enjoyed Premium sushi bento from Sushi Ogawa and Sushi Taro, Sake from local brewers as well as performances by the Toho Koto Society & Mark H. Taiko.

Japan-America Society of Washington DC (JASWDC) mission is to draw on the unique resources of the nation’s capital and history as well as promote friendship and understanding between Americans and Japanese through diverse programming that spans the educational, cultural, business, and policy spheres.

CHEF RIA MONTES AND HER TEAM FROM ESTUARY CONRAD WASHINGTON HOTEL WIN CAPITAL FOOD FIGHT IN DC!


Chef Ria Montes from Estuary at the Conrad Washington Hotel walked away with the champion boxing gloves after a 3 round battle with other distinguished chefs from the Washington, DC area. 


The 19th year, DC Central Kitchen’s Capital Food Fight returned to one of our city’s most beloved concert venues, The Anthem, for a safe, in-person culinary event. Honorary VIPs and guests joined the event to  fight hunger in the Washington, DC area.  Long known as one of the region’s best culinary events, Capital Food Fight provides partners a unique and unmatched opportunity to promote brands, entertain clients, and be publicly recognized for investments in the community.


DC Central Kitchen (DCCK} is an iconic nonprofit and social enterprise that combats hunger and poverty through job training and job creation. The organization provides hands-on culinary job training for individuals facing high barriers to employment while creating living wage jobs and bringing nutritious, dignified food where it is most needed.

The 46th Annual NIAF Gala with Italian tenor Marco Fiorante


Italian tenor Marco Fiorante sang the national anthems of both the United States and Italy at the 46th Annual NIAF Gala.  More than 300 guests joined the celebration of honorees such as Legendary singer Tony Bennett who was honoted with the Lifetime Achievement Award virtually; award-winning actor Stanley Tucci who accepted his honor virtually; Enrico Casarosa, director of Pixar Animation Studios’ 2021 computer-animated fantasy film Luca accepted his award virtually); Giuseppe Bono, CEO of Fincantieri and John P. Silvestri, chairman of Interstate Commercial, of Mount Laurel, N.J.

RAMMY AWARD CEREMONY  - Fully vaccinated restaurant industry professionals and their fans gathered at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center for the 39th Annual RAMMY Awards as Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington presented awards to various individuals from the DC Restaurant scene, The RAMMY Awards have honored the exceptional ability and accomplishments of the hard-working individuals and organizations of the Metropolitan Washington region’s restaurant and foodservice community. 

The Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW) is the regional trade association representing restaurants and the foodservice industry in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area. Established in 1920, RAMW is an advocate, resource and community for its members.  The Association works to promote and sustain the growth and development of the industry while providing its members legislative and regulatory representation, marketing and small business support, programming and events. Icon to Ican is a charitable organization offering a multitude of youth development programs for disadvantaged and/ or disabled children. HISPANIC HERITAGE AWARDS took place at the iconic John F. Kennedy Center For The Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. The Awards, which were created by the White House in 1987 to commemorate the establishment of Hispanic Heritage Month in America, are among the highest honors by Latinos for Latinos and supported by 40 national Hispanic-serving institutions that co-host the program.
This year the awards included top Latino performers and personalities paying tribute to the honorees from the stage. The Awards recognize the contributions and accomplishments of leading Latino individuals and organizations in various fields while celebrating cultural pride and the great promise to America
.The Hispanic Heritage Awards are unique in that educators, physicians, innovators, businesspersons, community leaders, and elected officials stand alongside celebrities and great artists in representing the great value Latinos provide the United States and the globe

CBCF Honors Nine History Makers at the Phoenix Awards Dinner Awardees: Rep. Barbara Lee, The Central Park “Exonerated Five”, Rev. Al Sharpton, Jr., Dr. Calvin Mackie, and Dr. Wanda Austin. Attendees included 2020 Presidential Candidates: Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ),Senator Kamala Harris and Mayor Pete Buttigieg.

The ALC is the leading policy conference on issues impacting African Americans. Lawmakers, celebrities and concerned citizens attend the annual meeting to engage in a variety of forums on health, education, economic empowerment, the environment, civic engagement and more. The ALC is the largest platform in which the CBCF delivers against its mission to help eliminate the disparities in the global black community. BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB GALA Denzel Washington, Misty Copeland and Congressman Steny Hoyer, were present at the annual Gala of the Boys and Girls Club of the Washington DC Area which is the culmination of six young finalists’ journey to become the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s National Youth of the Year and were awarded a portion of more than $1 million in college scholarships and prizes. Prior to the event, the six finalists and VIP guests walked the “blue carpet” that lead them into the 71st Annual National Youth of the Year Celebration Gala. Students and Guests got to meet with Kelly Rowland (singer, songwriter, actress and TV personality and five-time Grammy Award winner), JB Smoove (Club Alumni, Comedian, Curb Your Enthusiasm), Dwight Howard (NBA All-Star), Stephanie McMahon (Chief Brand Officer for WWE), Josh Norman (NFL Star Washington Redskins, Dancing with the Stars 2018) and Ruth Carter (Club Alumni, Costume Designer for Black Panther; Two-Time Oscar Nominee for Malcolm X and Amistad), as well as other celebrity guests. Boys & Girls Clubs of America had its beginnings in 1860 with three women in Hartford, Connecticut - Mary Goodwin, Alice Goodwin and Elizabeth Hammersley. Believing that boys who roamed the streets should have a positive alternative, they organized the first Club. With character development as the cornerstone of the experience, the Club focused on capturing boys interests, improving their behavior and increasing their personal expectations and goals.
